Gluten-containing foods



Grains

Some types of grains contain gluten, and it is important for people suffering from gluten sensitivity to avoid any kind of foods that contain it, and here we mention some types of grains that contain gluten: [1]
Gluten-containing foods
  • Wheat grain.
  • Barley seeds.
  •  Rye, or so-called rye.

It should be noted that wheat comes in a variety of forms, which include: [1]

  • Wheat (English: Spelt).
  • Semolina.
  •   khorasan wheat.
  • Durum wheat, also called pasta wheat (Durum).
  •  Bulgur.


Food made with flour

Gluten is found in foods made from wheat and wheat flour. Examples of these foods include: [2]

  •  pasta and pizza.
  • the bread.
  •  Biscuit.
  •  Donuts.
  • Cake, muffin cake.
  • Pastries or baked goods.

Other foods

 Gluten may be found in a number of processed or canned foods. Below are examples of other foods that may contain gluten: [3]

Bouillon cube :

Some brands of broth cubes can contain gluten, or one of its products, which is in the form of a Maltodextrin compound.

 Pickles:

As they may contain gluten, when barley vinegar is added to it during the manufacturing process, this vinegar may contain gluten.

 French fries:

 French fries may contain a little gluten due to being immersed in the same oil that was used to fry foods containing flour or its products, such as fried onion rings, and others.

Hot dog or Sausage:

 This product may contain gluten, so the ingredients must be read before being ingested by people with gluten sensitivity.

 Soy sauce :

Wheat is a component of soy sauce added during the manufacturing process, as it contains gluten.

 Hot chocolate:

or hot cocoa drink, as when using sacks prepacked from them, they usually contain leftovers of gluten during the manufacturing process, but when made at home, it does not contain gluten at all.

 Frozen vegetables with sauces:

These types of vegetables are quick to prepare, and many of the sauces added to them contain gluten
